" Cecilia" By: Connie Arnett

She always cooks us something to eat.

She thinks the hotter it is- the better the treat!

She was raised this way

And still eats like this today.

When she was twelve she was sold to an old man.

This was not God's plan.

She had to grow up so quick

To think of it makes me sick.

To be able to read she cannot.

A teacher she sought.

My daughter said I would do.

I did teach her thats true.

To say I was hesistant would be mild.

For Heaven's sake she isn't a child.

But I said I would try my best.

God is this a test?!

With God's help I did start

And she worked with all her heart.`

We are still working on it today.

But in the end it will pay.

She's a very smart woman too.

But in Progreso there's not much one can do.

To hear God's Word she has a desire

From this she does not tire.

She does not understand the way we live.

Using scripture explanations of why we give.

We pray one day she'll understand

And put her life in God's hands.

She's a friend thats true

And for us there's nothing she wouldn't do.

I pray she will give God her heart

And with her life make a new start.

" Antonio" By: Connie Arnett

Antonio seems to be such a good man.

When he see us he always shakes our hand.

He will do without

To give you his best no doubt.

It is true he is living in sin.

but his heart to God we want to win.

God help us know how to begin.

God's Word he loves to read

If only his souls were freed.

He makes no objections when we pray

No matter what we say.

He gives God glory when it is due

This is true.

But one step he is lacking yet...

To surrender his heart to God, I fret.

To read God's Word is not enough.

You must be saved-

Life's race is tough!

We cannot live right on our own

Living in sin we cannot condone.

We must give God our all

Or we won't be His at all.

Antonio is a sweet man

And I know for him God has a plan.

We will keep reaching out to him

And pray his heart God will win.
